June 2019 – summer is just beginning!

We are jumping right into summer with our Summer Central Cook-out June 1st! Join us June 1st for this monthly summer cook-out, lawn games and fellowship. Bring something to throw on the grill a side or dessert to share if you’d like! If it rains, we’ll cook under the covered walkway and move the party inside! Join us July & August, too!

Operation Salvage will be June 7 (9am-5pm) & 8th (9am-noon). We will be emptying the shed June 2nd after church for those who are available. All hands on deck to help with sorting, organizing and pricing, especially June 3-5. If you have items to contribute you can bring them to the church by June 5th for pricing. Contact Jennifer Nixon or Alesia Pearson if you need help getting items to the church. We can always use helpers Friday and Saturday during the sale, too! The Synod has presented Rev. Kristina Truhan, from Ohio, as an Interim pastoral candidate for us. She will be visiting with her husband in worship June 9 & 16 as an opportunity for the congregation to meet her. Council President, Scott Buie, has called a congregational meeting for June 23, immediately after worship, for the congregation to have an opportunity to vote on this choice. Following that June 23 meeting – we’ll head out for lunch with Brunch Bunch!

Our youth will be heading out June 22nd for their mission trip to Wyoming to Wind River Reservation, home to Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho tribes. Prayers for safe travels and ministry for our youth and adult leaders.
