May 2019 – we’re busy!!
We have a lot happening at Central in May! Come join in and see where you’d like to participate!
May 4, 10am-1pm we’ll meet at the church to work on some caulking and painting around some windows. We may also do a little bush trimming! There will also be some work going on in the community garden.
** Bring something to share for lunch! We’ll take a break and take an opportunity to visit with the families using the community garden. Anne, the UT Arlington grad student designing the garden, will be on hand to share the latest ideas for the garden and is interested in our input, too! Even if you aren’t able to come for the work day – come enjoy a meal together, hear more about the garden and offer some ideas you may have!
May 4, 6pm-? Join us for our first “Saturday Night Central” event – Cook-out & Games! It’s going to be so great we couldn’t wait ’till summer! Bring a side or dessert to share and something you’d like to have cooked on the grill! We’ll enjoy some fellowship and games on the lawn! When it gets dark, we’ll enjoy a family-friendly movie projected on the side of the building! Bring a neighbor or two for the fun! This will also be a great opportunity to welcome our newest church members who will be joining May 5th! Go ahead and mark your calendar & plan to join us on the first Saturday of each month through August! (in case of rain, we’ll move it all indoors: cook out under the covered walkway and have fun with table games inside instead of lawn games!)
