Labyrinth

Our labyrinth is located at the front of the building, behind the three-foot brick wall facing Easton Road, and is part of our peaceful memorial garden. This space was created to honor and remember loved ones who have passed. It is full of plants and trees that remind us of life’s cycles and the beauty of renewal.

The labyrinth is open to everyone 24/7, though keep in mind it’s not well lit at night.

Labyrinths are wonderful tools for reflection. Ours is modeled after the Chartres labyrinth, with a winding circular path that invites you to contemplate your spiritual journey. You’ll find labyrinths in many religious traditions worldwide, from the Jewish Kabbalah to the Hopi medicine wheel and beyond. Labyrinths became integrated in Christian tradition during the Middle Ages in Europe. Many gothic cathedrals built during this time feature labyrinths. They are said to symbolize a pilgrimage to Jerusalem- a journey many European Christians were taking at the time.

We invite you to walk our labyrinth and go on your own journey of reflection. If you would like some guidance, we encourage you to ask yourself:

1.       What am I feeling at this moment?

2.       Do I feel God’s presence? What does that feel like?

3.       What spiritual path am I on right now?
