November 2024
Every Tuesday from 10:30 am – Noon we have Tuesday Morning Bible Study. This fall we are studying the book of Daniel. This group is open to all adults. Contact the church office for more information (central.lutheran.dallas@gmail.com).
On November 2 from 1-4 pm we will have Hooked on Love- a crochet and knitting ministry. They meet at Knit Dallas (6434 E Mockingbird Ln STE 105, Dallas, TX 75214). All skill levels are welcome.
On November 3 at Noon we will assemble our Lutheran World Relief baby care and personal care kits. These kits are specifically designed to help people coping with poverty, disaster, conflict and more. Stay after worship to help us assemble the kits.
On November 10 at Noon we will have a Church Council meeting in the Parish Hall. The church council is our group of lay leaders who make decisions on behalf of the congregation. Every member is welcome to attend any council meeting. Learn more about our council and how to get in touch with them on the “Our Staff & Council” page.
On November 11 at 7:00 pm we will have a Lydia Circle meeting in the conference room (room #115). This group is open to any women who wish to join.
On November 12 from 9:30 – 11:30 am Pastor Veronika will host Community Office Hours at White Rock Coffee 10105 E NW Hwy, Dallas, TX 75238) Have you always wanted to talk to our Pastor in a relaxed environment? Meet her at White Rock Coffee on November 12!
On November 17 at Noon we will have a lunch and Sunday school in the Parish Hall. In preparation for Advent and Christmas we will make chrismons to decorate the Sanctuary’s Christmas tree with. Kids and adults are invited to attend!
On November 24 at 9:00 am we will have Caring & Sharing- a time when everyone gets together to send birthday, anniversary, and get well cards to members of the congregation and beyond.
On November 24 at Noon we will have our Thanksgiving potluck. We will gather for a potluck lunch and Christmas cookie sale in the Parish Hall. Meat and protein will be provided. We ask that every family bring a side dish or dessert to share.
December 2024

Every Wednesday in December* from 6:00 – 8:00 pm we will have a soup supper followed by an Advent vespers service in our Parish Hall. (*except December 25). This midweek refresh allows us time to recenter ourselves during this busy season and prepare our hearts for the birth of Christ Jesus.

On December 15 at Noon we will have our all-ages Sunday School. Lunch will be a potluck. All are welcome.
On December 21 at 5:00 pm at Emanuel Lutheran there will be Las Posadas- a reenactment of Mary and Joseph’s journey to find shelter.
On December 24 at 7:00 pm we will have a candlelit Christmas Eve worship service in our sanctuary.
On December 29 at 9:00 am we will have Caring & Sharing- a time when everyone gets together to send birthday, anniversary, and get well cards to members of the congregation and beyond.
On December 29 at 10:30 am we will have a Service of Lessons and Carols. Instead of our regular worship service, we will celebrate the Christmas season with readings from the Bible and celebratory hymns.
